When you can’t shower this is how you wash your hair! Shower caps with built in shampoo that doesn’t need rinsed.
After finding chunks of Doritos in his wild hair it was time to wash and comb that hair.
I love his hair so much! He has always had the best hair (when it is done). I don’t want him to lose it.
Today has been uneventful he has slept most of the day. The doctors/nurses say that is good. His body needs the rest, it’s going through a lot.
We are starting IV nutrition tonight. Apparently party size bag of Cool Ranch Doritos aren’t cutting it. In all seriousness he isn’t getting enough calories in and in preparation for the up coming 7-14 days he needs to have the calories with proteins and fats to help his body recover.
We are on day #9 of Chemo! But since we started on a Tuesday night his last treatment this round will be Friday morning. after that we are going to be waiting on his numbers to rebound on their own(7-14 days) so they can test to see if the Chemo is doing it’s job.
At that point we will get to go home for a few short days before we return to do it all over again.
I get over joyed when he has good days. I know that I am clueless to what this disease is capable of. The doctors keep reminding me to soak up the good days but be prepared for the bad and not to expect many good days over the next couple weeks.
The hardest part is knowing that he must go through all of this just to live his precious life. He doesn’t completely understand what is going on. But he knows he is sick. He tells us he doesn’t want to go home because he is still sick.
Continued prayers for strength, courage, and peace as we continue down this path of healing. 🧡
