Small win, we’ll take it!

A few more updates and some small wins we are celebrating!

Jackson’s Spinal Tap results came back negative for any leukemia cells. 🙏🏻 Meaning the leukemia hadn’t infiltrated the spine yet. He was given his first round of Chemo via spinal tap yesterday. It sounds like he will get this done once a month through out his treatment.

He got his Central line put in yesterday. So as you can see below...drawing blood is a breeze now. So we are celebrating less Pokes in the arms and hand. Jackson hated it and we always had to hold him down. Which broke Our hearts.

He is gearing up for his 3rd round of Chemo tonight. So far he has handled it all well with Mild nausea.

Last night he was able to rest well without lots of disturbances. Yay for some sleep! I sleep with him in his bed. He always ask to hold my hand as he tells me he loves me. Like I am the one that needs the comforting! He is so tough. He doesn’t allow us to help him much as he pushes through the pain to do it on his own. He is much stronger than I am!

In other news he is still in lots of pain. Finding a balance to manage the pain hasn’t been easy. Since he has a cold we are in isolation for at least 3 more weeks. So today he was able to sit up for a couple hours and play the Wii. That kept him occupied for a while.

Each day has been filled with tons of information being thrown at us and we are trying to process it all.

Praying each day gets a little bit easier and we get to continue celebrating small wins until we can Celebrate the BIG WIN!
We pray that God continues to build us up with strength to continue being the best versions of ourselves through this journey.

It’s not easy being positive. It’s not always easy trying to look for the small wins when you are faced with your child literally fighting for his life. Doesn’t mean we don’t stop trying!

The continued support we are getting is so incredible! We feel the love all the way here.

I look forward to the day that Jackson can look back on this challenging time and see all the love he was given throughout 🧡🧡

God Bless you all!
